Dear Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in the obstetrics and
gynecology residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center
and Mount Carmel Health. This
exciting program offers the best of two worlds the
strength of a large academic medical center teamed with the
strength of leading community hospitals.
Our faculty includes academicians and
researchers, hospital-based physicians and private practitioners. The Ohio State
Universitys Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
comprises six specialty divisions and has more than 25 full-time
faculty who supervise inpatient and outpatient training in
obstetrics and gynecology. The faculty at Mount Carmel Health
includes over 25 practicing ob/gyn specialists. Faculty members at all of our
hospitals also offer training expertise in advanced surgical
techniques with basic and clinical research.
This residency program offers outstanding resources for
general obstetrics and gynecology and their subspecialties plus a
strong base in ambulatory care.
Our goal is to help you gain the experience and skill
necessary for a successful, rewarding career. We have included outpatient
training, plus inpatient care of complex patients and a
structured didactic curriculum that meets all RRC accreditation
requirements and CREOG objectives.
We participate in the Electronic Residency
