Many of our patients have "lived with" their clinical problems for many years thinking there was nothing that could be done. As a consequence, Dr. Hundley places equal emphasis on both patient education and clinical intervention, and works hard to increase each patient's understanding of their specific clinical issue. Patients are encouraged to consider a variety of therapeutic options when appropriate, including behavior modification and physical rehab, non-surgical management with pessaries, and surgical intervention to include both minimally invasive and major surgical approaches.
Treatments for Urinary Incontinence may include Lifestyle Changes, Medicines, Pessary Use, Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, Neurostimulation, and/or Surgery.
The OSU Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery performs neurostimulation both surgically with the Medtronic Interstim Device and non-surgically with Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation.
Surgical options for Urinary Incontinence may include TVT Slings, Burch or Marshall Marchetti Krantz Colposuspension or Bulking Agent Injections.
Treatments for Pelvic Organ Prolapse any include Pessary Use or Surgery. Surgical options for Pelvic Organ Prolapse may include Abdominal Sacral Colpopexy, Uterosacral Ligament Suspension, Anterior and/or Posterior Colporrhaphy or Obliterative Procedures.
Dr. Hundley is proud to have completed more than 50 robotic surgeries using the daVinci S Robotic System. Using this system, he can perform Hysterectomy and Sacrocolpopexy procedures in a less invasive manner, which means faster and easier recovery periods for patients.
