Research
Research endeavors have included both resident mentored work and clinical trials. A recent retrospective study on perineal lacerations in a teen population at our institution was presented a the national American Urogynecology Society Meeting in Chicago. Presently, a funded prospective trial examining risk factor related to birth trauma and sphincter laceration with vaginal delivery is underway. With continued growth, there is a clear goal towards developing a research presence both regionally and nationally.
