
Dr. O’Malley’s clinical interests include treatment of gynecologic malignancies and minimally invasive treatment options, including robotic surgery. Dr. O’Malley has received multiple teaching and research awards during his career. He has been appointed to national committees for the treatment of ovarian cancer and to develop new therapies in the treatment of gynecologic malignancies. He is currently the principle investigator in multiple clinical trials utilizing novel therapies in an attempt to improve the outcomes of these diseases.
As a national and international leader in gynecologic research, physician-scientists at The James Cancer Hospital have taken a leading role in designing, monitoring and publishing research work of the Gynecologic Oncology Group, an international clinical research organization. Dr. O’Malley is an active member of this group.
Dr. O’Malley received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Case Western Reserve University at MetroHealth Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and his fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut.
